This month, we received a message on our Facebook from one customer who had purchased our red paramedic backpack that we had for sale on our eBay page.  His Zoll E Series monitor needed a new case and he noticed the backpack was the same size.  He removed the case from his monitor and made minimal modification to the bag.  After piercing a few holes for the screws and attaching base plates/handles for the cables, the monitor fit perfectly as if the bag had been measured to fit.

Here is what he said….

[vc_single_image image=”19451″ img_size=”full”] The bag is ex NHS ambulance service stock.  The crest badge has been removed leaving a reflective patch.  It has detachable backpack straps which make it more functional as a case.  In addition to the reflective patch, the bag also has heat transfer reflective printing, and has three external pockets including two internal colour coded pouches.  The bag is also made from our micrAgard™ material which is wipe clean and could be a benefit in a situation where an E series monitor is required.[vc_single_image image=”19460″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”19461″ img_size=”medium”][vc_single_image image=”19459″ img_size=”medium”]Openhouse have a made to order protective case for the E series which has proved very popular with many of our ambulance service customers over the years.  However we realise in the private industry funds often don’t permit the purchase of a bespoke case, meaning this solution can be perfect as it offers the same service, is highly organised and is sold at a lower price.

The E series is an older machine and many can be sold and bought on the second hand market.  The cases that would have initially came with those units would no doubt be worn and reaching the end of their lifespan whilst the actual piece of machinery has plenty of life left in it.  They are still the medical professional’s choice and still have many features that are relevant even when compared to the newer series of monitors.

In addition to this he also sent us a series of images that showed the bag in use with the monitor and alongside another red backpack that we have sold.  We thanked him for getting in touch with us and he was very kind to allow us to use the pictures and information he provided us with to let us post this case study.

We hope that this inspires other customers to get creative in terms of what they can use their bag for.  This proves that the functionality isn’t just limited to one thing and can be adapted further by the customer to meet what they need.  This then extends how we can market the bags and how we can market the purpose they serve.  We always love to see new and innovative ideas such as this.
